Our first Blog!

Just thought we'd start a blog to help keep everybody updated on what is going on around our house. It's something I've wanted to start for awhile, but just haven't had the time. Not that I have the time now, but I figure, if I don't do it now, I never will!

School is coming to an end soon - less than a month left! Which means lots of end of school-year activities! Jessica has a concert coming up at the end of April where she has a vocal solo. She also has the State Gymnastics Meet the first weekend in April. She did her first meet here at Omega and took 2nd place over-all! She also placed 1st in vault. Then in June is her Dance Recital. Throw in her birthday, birthday party, dance pictures and such and she is a busy girl!

Alex has his spring instrumental concert in May. Other than that, he's been busy learning how to drive. Hard to believe he's on the roads already! Scary! He registered for next years classes and opted to stay in band (Yay!). He originally wasn't going to take band because he didn't want to be at school at 7:00 in the morning for Marching Band practice. Glad he changed his mind though!

Christian was chosen to participate in the HAL program at his school - High Ability Learners. It is for 4th-6th graders. However, he has already started some of the lessons. He seems to really enjoy it. His speech is coming along good as well. He almost has is "R's" correct all the time. Sometimes he has to stop to think about it but it is a HUGE improvement over the beginning of the year.

Emma just won't stop growing and talking! She is taking gymnastics classes and loving it. Her open house is coming up soon so we'll see how she handles it this year. Last year she just stood in the middle of the gym and blew kisses at everyone - such a ham! I wonder where she gets it from. Hee hee!!

Ben is still working at Paypal and putting in applications for just about any job they have open so he can get a better schedule. So far, no bites. Hopefully soon though. He is looking at going back to school to get his degree. Paypal pays a substantial amount for doing so. Should help with the promotions!

My eBay business is still going. I wish I could say going Strong, but unfortunately with the economy the way it is, my sales are suffering. They are enough to help pay the bills that are necessary but not much else. I'm hoping sales pick up soon. Garage Sale season is upon us and I need $$ to go shopping!!

Well, there's a rough rundown as to what's going on here. I will try to update on a weekly, if not daily, basis. I'll also add some pictures when I get the chance.
